Conveyor Belt Scales

In-motion weighing with unrivaled data accessibility
What our Belt Scales deliver

Real-time accuracy for production control

From live tonnage data to precision hardware and proactive diagnostics, our belt scales convert raw conveyor data into clear, actionable intelligence across three operational priorities.

  • Live Production Data in Under 10 Seconds

Eliminate the wait for end-of-shift reports. Our belt scales deliver live tonnage and flow rate data directly to your operations platform, with every weighing event visible within 10 seconds of it occurring.

    • Live reef and waste tonnage per conveyor, updated continuously • Flow rate outputs in kg/s, kg/m, m/s, and total kg • Shift summaries with reef and waste totals per shift • Auto-synced with server, always reflects the latest production data • Drill-down from daily summaries to per-minute production graphs
  • Multi-Idler Accuracy with Dual Platform Verification

Consistent accuracy in demanding environments through multi-idler design, discrete load cells, and continuous cross-platform validation. Any deviation is automatically detected and flagged before it affects your tonnage figures.

    • Multi-idler floating design for stable load distribution • 8 or 4 discrete load cells with 0.02% error on full scale • Static and in-motion calibration with linear verification • Belt profiling records the empty belt signature to offset tonnage precisely at each position • Automatic exclusion of skewed or abnormal load cell readings
  • Proactive Maintenance with Real-Time Diagnostics

A dedicated diagnostics platform gives technicians visibility into every scale's electronics status, enabling proactive intervention before failures affect production.

    • Load cell and speed sensor diagnostics detect strain, drift, and signal issues in real time • Individual load cell monitoring with platform-level deviation alerts • Video camera playback for investigations and calibration verification • Advanced filtering and dynamic zero-drift correction remove mechanical noise • Backup battery ensures continuous operation during power outages
Conveyor Belt Scale Hardware

Hardware Built for Demanding Mining Conditions

Each installation is designed for durability and precision from the ground up. A robust in-line idler frame reduces maintenance in harsh conditions, while a multi-idler floating design provides stable load distribution for consistent tonnage accuracy.

Load cells: High-quality stainless steel load cells with 0.02% error on full scale. Either 8 or 4 discrete cells per installation, enhancing accuracy and reducing signal interference.
Speed tracking: A heavy-duty tachometer delivers precise speed measurement for reliable mass flow calculations.
Calibration: Both static and dynamic calibration maintain long-term weighing accuracy, including linear calibration verification.
Resilience: Backup battery for power outages, video camera with playback for investigations and calibrations, and high-frequency sampling with synchronised speed/load tracking.

Real-time flow outputs (kg/s, kg/m, m/s, total kg) are available continuously, with automated reef/waste classification configurable through software or via SCADA integration.

Belt Profiling and Dual Platform Verification

Two precision techniques work together to ensure your tonnage figures remain accurate over time, accounting for mechanical variation and load distribution in ways that single-platform systems cannot.

Belt Profiling: The system records the empty conveyor belt's weight profile across multiple cycles, creating an accurate belt weight signature. This signature is used to precisely offset tonnage at each belt position, eliminating the systematic errors introduced by uneven belt weight distribution.

Double Platform: On most installations, two 4-load-cell platforms are deployed. Each load cell is measured individually and aggregated to form a platform total. The two platforms are then continuously compared before deriving the final tonnage figure. If any individual load cell or an entire platform shows signs of skewing or abnormal deviation, it is automatically excluded from the tonnage calculation and flagged for support intervention.

Production Summary Report

Production Summary Reporting

All tonnage data is structured into a comprehensive reporting suite, giving operations, metallurgy, and management teams the information they need without manual extraction or end-of-shift delays.

Interactive filters: Select one or multiple belt scales to view combined or individual production.
Reef and waste: Choose to view reef, waste, or combined totals per shift or day.
Bar graph: Visualises daily, shift, or hourly production trends for each individual belt scale.
Shift summaries: Total reef and waste tonnages per shift, with a live production view per conveyor showing reef and waste hourly by shift.
Scheduling: Automated report scheduling and push notifications are available through the self-service platform.

Hourly Drill-Down and Downtime Detection

Click any hourly production figure to open a detailed, per-minute production graph for that conveyor and hour. The line graph displays belt activity and tonnage flow for the selected period, with idle belt periods highlighted in red for immediate downtime identification.

This view instantly identifies when the belt was running without material load, enabling rapid investigation and reducing undetected production loss. Combined with the shift summary and live view, the drill-down provides complete production accountability, from the daily overview to the individual minute.

Shift comparisons are made easy, supporting performance reviews and production planning across all conveyor scales in a single self-service platform.
